DIY: all natural lip scrub.

It’s still winter and the cold is very rough on our skin. But spring is coming for sure. So get ready.

Today my lips are kind of destroyed and harshley. And that’s what I want to chance. Skincare is such a huge thing going on but what about our lips? We should give them some of our attention too, to get some kissy lips just in time for the upcoming v-day.

Here is what you need:

  • 1/4 cup raw cane sugar
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
  • 1 tsp raw honey
  • you can add few drops of your favorite essential oil
  • a jar

I choose coconut oil beacause I like the smell and taste of it and it reminds me of summer. Also it’s solid where I live. The cane sugar is important to get rid of the dead skin pieces and than the oil and honey can smoothen your lips. The honey is a natural healer because raw honey is full of antioxidants. It will help to nurish and hydrat the skin of our lips as well the coconut oil does.

Heat the oil (if solid) gently together with the honey in a glass bowl nested inside a pot filled with a little water so that you can mix it. Combine with the sugar cane. Add essential oils if wanted. When everything is scrambled up spoon your scrub into a jar.

Now when your lips are chapped just use a small amound and scrub your lips gently. Get rid of the scrub with some lukewarm water. Or just lick it off. Use some extra oil to moisturize on your lips if needed.

You also can use a different oil than coconut oil.

Hope you guys like this easy DIY and it will help you to stay moisturize and cozy for the last days of winter. Also you can give it as a present to friends and family. I like it a lot! Let me know if you use this one, tag your pics with #ndgbl and feel free to leave a comment.

Sending some love,
