DIY: hanging shelfie.

I have a lot of plants and also a grandpa who keeps a lot of stuff at his loft. I’ve been there a few days ago and found some old bicycle baskets and thought why not make a hanging shelfie for all my greens (or fruits or books or…)?!

It’s a very simple and easy DIY. But I like it a lot. The basket looks beautiful infront of a window or a wall and gives you extra space for storage or decorations. I already have a hanging fruit basket and macrames for plants. The best.

But here is what you need:

  • a (bicycle) basket
  • robe
  • a hook
  • scissors

Get your basket and your robe. Cut six long pieces of robe which have the same length. Knot three at one corner of the basket and the other three to a neighbor corner. Braid each one of the pairs of three. And knot the done braids to the skewed opposite corners so that the two braids cross in the middle.

Now hang it up where you want it to hang. Put books, plants or fruits into it and enjoy. I told you it’s going to be easy!
