Growing out long hair isn’t that easy. Hair needs a lot of caring. But if you’re doing it right your hair will grow…
So what is the right caring?
The most important is to moisturize your hair when it’s dry. If it stays dry your hair gets spliss ends and will break. The easiest way how I moisturize is by using a deep hair conditinor. I found this one at the free people blog but I changed it a little.
Here is what you need:
- 4 tsp Argan Oil
- 2 tsp Epsom Salt
- 2 tsp Honey
- 4 tsp Coconut or Olive Oil
- 2 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar
- 3 drops Peppermint Essential Oil
- one jar out of glas
The recipe is very easy again. So take all the ingredients – I used olive oil instead of coconut oil because first of all where I live coconut oil is most of the time solid. It gets liquid when it’s hotter than 25° C and olive oil is cheaper than coconut oil. And second of all olive oil works more moisturizing for my hair than coconut oil. You have to test this on your own and decide which oil you would prefer. You can also mix them up and take 2 tsp of each oil. – and combine them into one bowl. Stir together till everything is mixed up very smooth. And you are done. You need to storage the hair mask in a jar out of glas because of the essential oil. Shake before use.
When you use the hair mask or deep hair conditinor your hair should be unwashed. Put some of the mask in your ends and length and some up to the roots. The argan, coconut and olive oil moisturize your dry ends and length. The apple cider vinegar repairs spliss and makes your hair more smooth. Epsom salt gives your hair some volume at the roots. And the peppermint essential oil encourage your blood circulation of your sculp and the more oxygen in it will let your hair grow a little faster. So you have to massage some of the mask very carefully into your roots. You will feel the peppermint essential oil on your sculp. I like the feeling of this freshness. But it’s not just the peppermint which helps the hair to grow faster. The argan oil has a lot of Vitamin E, which contains antioxidants and encourage the hair growth aswell.
Let the mask sit for 30 minutes. Pin your hair up with some bobby pins, an elastic or cover it under a towel. Than have a shower and wash your hair very carefully with some shampoo. Make sure everything is washed out. If not your hair will still look greasy. I use the mask like once a week or once every two weeks when I wash my hair.
Let your hair dry naturaly without any heat. And your hair will be so thankful and feel so smooth. I love this one so much! You also just can go for a combination of apple cider vinegar, honey and olive oil for a faster hair mask.
Sending some love,
