beach life // balamjuyuc.

Balamjuyuc. What a beautiful place to stay when you travel into the amazing Mazunte, Oaxaca, Mexico.

Mazunte is a little tropical village at the pacific coast of Mexico with a little of a hippie spirit going on. When you travel to the sea you have to cross a mountain range with  beautiful countrysides. And when I arrived in Mazunte it was so pretty and amzingly beautiful. Little fruit stores are everywhere, hippie cafes to drink coffee and fruit shakes, and beautiful beaches. When you go a little higher you can find balamjuyuc.

Balamjuyuc is up on the hill right next to the hiking way of to Punta Cometa. You find an open kitchen with hammoks, showers hidden behind a wall of empty wine bottles and a gorgeous view.

Walking down to the beach can be hard at midday. The sun is way to hot to walk around on some stairs. So go early. And enjoy some fresh coconut water, a jucy mango and the sun. You can go for a swim, surf, snorkeling or a beach walk. But doesn’t matter what you do, take lots of water with you. And take a sun break in the cool shade of some palmtrees.

But if you don’t want to you can also have a hike to Punta Cometa and go to a less crowded beach and enjoy the sunset.

Also the rocks there look so crazy stunning.

What else could you need than some fresh fruits at a beach? Maybe some natural bug spray for the night. I wish I could go back and enjoy the sunset and the stars at our balcony. The place is just gorgeous with all the nature, greens, hammoks and the chilled life going on. Mexican style. No worries. Pura vida. Balamjuyuc, Mazunte.

Right now I’m at the Atlantic ocean in Portugal. If you are interessted into my travels now, feel free to check them out @creativeindigo.

Sending some love,
