distressed denim.

Denim opsession is a real thing espicially for some pieces. What if they break? Don’t throw your loved ones out but make them special and start wearing them again.

What about you? I guess everyone has it favorite piece of denim. Trying not to wash it too often because every washing stresses the denim. I love some holes and tears but it can be too much. So I found some nice pieces of pattern fabric and other denim patches.

Why not fix some holes and tears up with some patches and yarn. So I can wear my favorite denim again and make it even more special.

Just take your sewing needle and stich some fabric or denim patches to your jeans. Lay the new pieces of fabric you want to use under the holes and stich with some color matching yarn the fabric on to your jeans. If you just have tears on your jeans you can use denim matching yarn or different color to show (I used red) to fix up your jeans. Simply stich the yarn a few times around the tears. Start and end with the yarn in the inside of your denim to not show the ends. Also don’t pull to hard on the yarn so your jeans won’t gather.

Hope this simple tutorial helps to get your favorite jeans back into your clothet. I still and love all my broken denim pieces and will for a long time.

Sending some love,
