Welcome to Venice Beach, L. A., California.
What a City, what a beach state. Venice is a place which is insane.
Welcome to La-La Land.
The sun is shining and the palmtrees are huge. You can get a lot of great food, as much tattoos as you can afford and almost everything else. The place is beautiful with all the green, the cafes and the farmers market. Also you can go for skating, bike riding or surfing.
We stayed at the Samesun Hostel right at the Beach, which was simple but enough for just a few days.
The beach is huge with many little shops right at the beach walk. Next to the beach walk is a line for bikes. And just a short walk from the beach centre of Venice is Santa Monica where the Route 66 ends at the famous Pier.
Some of the best food we had around Venice came by food trucks and it was delicious.
Walking around Venice through the green village, we found a lot of pretty places. At main street as well as at the Abbot Kinney Blvd are a lot of cafes and boutiques. Also the cute farmers market is right in the middle of Venice.
But back right at the beach where the Venice sign is, we found an awesome vintage shop. It’s a little more on the pricy side when you think about old second hand clothes. But you can also find some thrift shops around. And also a lot of tattoo shops.
But there is so much more to find around Venice Beach. Go and check it out by yourself.
And feel free to follow my current adventures.
Sending some love,
